Controls UnificationSince there is a wide variety of IT frameworks, regulatory requirements and business requirements that business managers must address and the "origin" and strategy of each component is highly varied, creation of a unified control framework based on a centralized repository will provide many benefits including reduced compliance costs, increased process analytics and reduced risk.
The primary goal of unification is to leverage the best practices from each framework that are more specifically relevant to a companies industry and business goals. In order to leverage the ‘best of the best” instead of relying on a limited framework set for control of business processes, a unification strategy must employed that provides for “mapping” or defining relationships between business requirements, framework best practices and corporate policies, procedures and controls. Please see our “Controls Unification White Paper” for further details and strategies unique to ControlOrigins.
