Control Requirements

There are many different sources for business requirements that need to be “mapped” to a unified control framework that supports process and control analytics. Many business requirements are driven specifically by the industry and climate where are business operates. 

Business requirements include mergers, acquisitions, product growth, marketing, new ventures and many other business specific activities. There are also external forces that place demands on businesses including regulations (e.g. Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) as well as business partners (e.g. Statement on Accounting Standards Number 70 and Payment Card Industry). 

Both internal and external forces represent important if not mission critical business requirements that must be supported by a corporation’s unified control framework.
